I honestly loved Eleanor’s bi rep because that’s kind of what I think LGBT rep SHOULD BE, with characters casually being a certain identity and it not necessarily having to be a huge thing they have to announce. I love casually bi Eleanor, it makes her attraction to other genders come across as natural as it is. it may get misinterpreted as brushing off or joking about her sexuality, but as a bi person it doesn’t feel offensive, it feels like it normalized being bi instead of it being like this weird, “not normal” untouchable thing we can’t naturally incorporate into a characters interactions and personality. It makes them all the more multidimensional and real and representative of the fact that sexuality/gender identity isn’t a defining character trait, it’s just sprinkles on the sundae of what makes us “us”.
